Highland Gathering

The Peine Highland Gathering is an international music competition but it is more. With it’s popular Highland Games , performances of dancers and choirs, eating and drinking and possibilities for shopping it is an event for the whole family and offers insights in scottish culture.

The Peine Highland Gathering with it’s “Peine International Pipe Band Championships” takes place since 1998. Such being the “oldest” event of this kind in Germany. Organisation and operation is done by a crew of about 50 members of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Highland Gathering of the Scottish Culture Club Peine e.V. .

Not only because of the high standards to professionality it’s popularity is steadily increasing. It is coordinated by Helmut Horneffer , who is also responsible for the organisation of the Pipe Band Competition. The Peine Highland Gathering is a succesful coorperation with Peine Marketing .
